Inner Mongolia Zhuo Dialect Phonetic Research

Zhuo Zi county is located in the south of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region and the east of Hohhot. Zhuo Zi dialect is one of the dialects in the Zhang Jiakou-Hohhot section of Jin group. Based on the actual fieldwork, synchronic description, and combining with the plane comparison, history comparison, data statistics, inductive and deductive method, this paper refered the related theory of predecessors research results, recorded and descriped and analysised of the voice system of Zhuo Zi dialect and its characteristics, the contemporary phonetic change, the homophone collection, summarize the history phonetic change after comparing the phonetic of the mediaeval times, and discussed the development of the entering tone changes.This paper is made up of six parts, the first part is the introduction, introduced the humanistic geography, history, population situation, population migration of Zhuo Zi dialact, and its research status and ownership and discussed the significance and the theory and method of this study, etc. The second part is the phonetic systems of Zhuo Zi dialect. Through the investigation on the local dialect, transcription, on lots of dialect vocabulary, and on the basis of a summary of the sound, summarized the initials,finals and tone syste and designed a table on their coordinate relations.The third part of the paper is on the basis of "the survey dialect words table", organized the language materials through the field survey, made the homophones vocabulary of Zhuo Zi dialect. The fourth part of the paper is the contemporary phonetic changes. Specific discussed the voice change characteristics and regularity of Zhuo Zi dialect on the Synchronic plane. The first section of this part analysised two words group of Zhuo Zi dialect(the two words group without overlap).The second section of this part analysised softly law,including the softly status of the two words group without overlap,the overlap nouns group and the overlap adjectives group. The fifth part of this paper summary the phonetic features of Zhuo Zi dialect from the comparison of Zhuo Zi dialect and the phonetic of the mediaeval times. Compared with initials,finals and tone syste of two phonetic system and through the comparison, summarized the whole speech characteristics. The sixth part is the changes of entering tone.Analysised the unchanged dialect words, discussed the phenomenon of glottal stop dropping and chechedization in Zhuo Zi dialect and explored the change rules and the reason.
