Phonological Study Of Daizhao Dialect In Handan

Daizhao town is located in the eastern part of Handan.According to the division of Atlas of Chinese language,Daizhao dialect belongs to Hanxin area of Jin dialect district.There is a lot of important features in Daizhao dialect for being in the transitive zone from Jin dialect district to Jilu mandarin,however,very few studies of Dai zhao dialect have been done,even if Handan dialect.The systematic investigates of Daizhao dialect have not been studied at present.In this paper,the author executes the systematic investigate and research about Daizhao dialect carefully,and reveals the basic outlook of the phonetic system.Besides,the author also analyses the characteristic from entering tone and special pronunciation,and provides the material basis for the studies of Handan dialect and the transitive dialect in Jin dialect district.The thesis is divided into three parts as follows.First,deriving from the initial,rhymes and tones,the author demonstrates the phonetic system of Daizhao dialect and its pronouncing regulation,meanwhile,draws up the syllable inventory and reveals the Features of Daizhao's phonetic by comparing with pronunciation system of Middle Chinese.Second,the author researches the entering tone from two sides.On the one hand,part of the ancient entering tone characters have vanished the tails vowel.The author investigates the vanishing of tail vowel in entering tone of the single characters from voiceless and voiced initial,yunshe and tone class,moreover,proves that the turn of vanishing of tail vowel in entering tone is from initiate to the end by counting and listing the words of entering tone characters.On the other hand,some of shu-sheng characters turn into cu-sheng characters, thus,the author studies them according to dividing into different types.Third,the author analyzes a special phenomenon of sound change a) combination of two syllables in phrase or idiom of Dai zhao dialect,categories and its process of formation,b) special pronunciations of some words(i.e.one sound in self,another in some phrases ),which cause from assimilation or weakness in process of speaking. On the basis of field investigation,the features of phonetic and understanding of entering tone and special sound have been studied by the description in same period and longitude comparison.The paper highlights a) demonstration of phonetic system of Daizhao dialect,b) the comparative regulations in history,which provide evidence for the longitude research of phonetic change,c) new thoughts for entering tone transmutation,and the first hand materials for dialect in this district.The above findings illuminate that vanishing of tail vowel in entering tone may related to the position of entering tone word in phrases or idioms.Those will be vanishing of tail vowel usually in initiate of phrases or idioms and vice versa,which indicate the order of vanishing of tail vowel in entering tone is from initiate to the end generally.
