Symbol is the most primitive way of communication in the course of the history of men. During the primitive society, people have communicated or record information with symbols. Entering the21st century, an era of "reading pictures", people were atttracted by visual graphic, books, magazines, products’interfaces, posters, which were designed by graphics extensively. Obviously,"people are spoiled and become lazy. When they need information, they say’show me’instead of’tell me’." Therefore, designers brought forward "to provide those’non-readers"non-text’reports with the way of’non-writing"In terms of books, a very few people would like to read. Simple writing can no longer attract people, or meet people’s needs. In this context, in order to adapt to the development of times and market and make books read easily, designers need to strengthen the use of non-linguistic symbols in the book design. This is not a deliberate change. In the field of symbols, the character is a kind of symbol. The use of non-verbal symbol gradually became an objective requirement, because of which can convey information clearer and more intuitive.
