Visual culture becomes the dominant form of social culture.Visual images are full of all aspects of our lives.The tremendous changes of the times have made visual art move from palace to daily life.In the process of aestheticization of daily life,an interesting argument emerged,that is,the so-called Visual Suprematism.Since the emergence of Visual Suprematism,many scholars have paid attention to it and started to study it.At the beginning of visual culture's turning,a series of discussions and studies on Beauty Justice,ocularcentralism,eyeball economy,visual symbols and so on emerge in endlessly.In such social context,aesthetic context and research context,why vision is paramount is always a question that has not been fully answered.Starting with this problem,this paper tries to understand the problem of Visual Suprematism from the perspective of internal visual symbols,and to explore the reasons why visual symbols are becoming more attractive in the contemporary era.Taking Zhang Yimou's works as an example,this paper decodes the relationship between visual symbols and eyeball attraction by means of text analysis,qualitative analysis and interdisciplinary research method.This study starts with the inherent nature of visual symbols,from the expression of visual symbols in Zhang Yimou's works,the categories of visual symbols to the factors that visual symbols have eyeball attraction,and so on.It gradually deeply analyses the reasons why visual symbols have eyeball attraction,and ponders on the trend of visual symbols in the current context.Visual symbols in the era of consumption rely on visual technology,take mass media as the carrier,take visuality as the core,take consumption as the demand,and produce meaning and pleasure in mutual reference.In order to satisfy the functional feeling and make consumption behavior for this purpose and construct the identity of the consumer era,visual symbols show a high degree of eye attraction characteristics,pan-symbolic characteristics and presence characteristics.In film and television works,visual symbols are mainly shown as color symbols,body symbols,space symbols and so on.The color itself has a strong visual appeal.Human beings have formed a congenital preference for color in the long-term evolution and development.Thiscongenital genetic preference has created a kind of perceptual experience,that is,a high degree of attention to color.In film and television art,female body,as a visual symbol,plays an important role in gathering the audience's attention because of the optimal expression of artists.In the context of Chinese traditional culture and specific contemporary consumption,there is a common understanding of "feminine beauty" to a certain extent.Through the design of plastic arts or martial arts,film and television directors have created a high aesthetic space for visual consumption,which brings aesthetic pleasure and aesthetic standards,which are subtly copied into daily life by audiences.With the turn of visual culture,narrative language gives way to visual wonders.Film space aesthetics has become the main research direction of film and television artists.The consumption age presents the characteristics of film and television spectacularization and music visualization.The expansion of visual symbols is not only more prominent in the field of vision,but also reflects the visualization of other art types in the field of culture.Moreover,the development of technology makes visual symbols more attractive.Modern stage visual symbols,with the support of science and technology,give full play to the performance of visual symbols.Visual symbols are ideological symbols,which are rooted in social consciousness of a specific social nature.In the era of consumption,people require it to have excellent visual appreciation to meet the aesthetic consumption needs.Visual symbols need to be highly abstracted in the representation of naturalized,universalized and coded conceptual representations.The art of film and television is the result of the symbolization of visual symbols.The living space of symbols is between signifier and signifier,between subject and object.It is difficult for people to feel the charm of visual symbols when they watch visual symbols without the "presence" of visual symbols.From the perspectives of the internal force of visual symbols and the external force of the consumption age,this paper analyses the reasons why visual symbols are becoming more and more attractive in the consumption age.On the one hand,vision is the essential attribute of visual symbols.Because of the influence of congenital genetic schema,people have instinctive pursuit of visual symbols with prominent visual expression.And because of the development of special media of visual symbols in the consumer era,distinct visual communication has become the inherent characteristics of visual symbols,which provides a stronger eye attraction for visual symbols.Human beings are symbolic animals.In the era when "being seen" has become a kind of confirmation,visual symbols have spontaneous vitality,and film andtelevision art symbols are in fierce competition.On the other hand,because of the rapid development of economy in the consumption age and the background that visual cultural form has become the dominant cultural form of society,Visual Suprematism has become a phenomenon;visual products in the consumption age have competitive effects and pay attention to the idol effect of images,which makes visual symbols have to have distinct visual communication;more and more people are passing through the image side to grasp the world,people's understanding of the world is gradually achieved through visual symbols.
