My study used dual-task paradigm to research how level of processing and divided attention in coding stage affect the retrieval of different memory test. In experiment1, I tried to test and verify that blurrified pictophonetic characters were suitable for perceptual identification test. Meanwhile I also tried to identify the nature of pictophonetic character stem completion test; On the basis of Experiment1, I would verify Distracter-selection Hypothesis with pictophonetic characters. In Experiment1, I adopted2(coding mode:orthographic coding and meaning coding) X2(retrieval test:perceptual identification test and pictophonetic character stem completion test) between group design. There were40subjects totally, and every10subjects took part in one study-retrieval combination. In experiment2, I adopted dual-task paradigm in coding stage. Different from experiment1, I added recognition test in retrieval stage, and another5subjects attended the recognition test. Results showed that:(1)In experiment1, after both orthographic and meaning coding, the RTs of perceptual identification test were significantly shorter than the baseline(F=24.168, P<0.05). When it was meaning coding, the result was better in pictophonetic character stem completion test, but the difference did not achieve the significant level.(2)In experiment2, for perceptual identification test, although suffered from the interference task, both the RTs were significantly shorter than baseline(F=110.715,p<0.05); In pictophonetic character stem completion test, the interference task had a more serious effect, when study style was orthographic coding.Conclusions:(1) Under the level of processing model, orthographic coding was not damaged by interference task, showing priming effect in the retrieval test; The meaning coding was damaged by the interference task, but still showed priming effect;(2) The blurrified pictophonetic character was suitable for perceptual identification test;(3) The perceptual identification test with blurrified pictophonetic character should be perceptional memory test;(4) The pictophonetic character stem completion test should be conceptional memory test.
