Attribution Way And Related Factors Research Of Depression

Clinically, depression is becoming a common mental disorder. At present, the number of patients suffer from this disease ranks first among various types of mentai illness and mental disorders. With the growing of the incidence,depression treatment has also become the focus of medical psychotherapy today. It is of significance to study attributional style and its impact factors of depression because of the influences from the attributional the style to psychotherapy and the depression itself.This study compared the general situation of attributional style of in-patients of depression as research object and ordinary people as control group and explore the nature and impact factors of attributional style of depression. The results showed that:(1)Before treatment,patients and the control group had significant difference in SDS. After treatment,the difference has gone. Whatever,Treatment brought some changes to the attribution of positive and negative events. Overall,the negative attributional styles of depression has mildly changed after treatment,however,still had big difference with control group. The negative attributional tendency of depression didn’t differ before and after treatment.Attributional style is not a associated symptoms of depression, but a relatively stable and variable trait-like.(2)Within the prediction of attributional style to depression,stable score was moderated by coping styles. Ask-for-help and rationalization showed negative while accidence showed positive moderating effect. Negative events played partial mediating effect between stable score and depression. Depression was not directly affected by coping styles,but by stable and global attributional styles.Also,it is influenced by anxiety and negative events.The conclusion of this study can provide theoretical basis to attribution retraining on depression disorder.At the same time,it put forward the factors to be considered and controlled in the training,and also provide a reference to clinical diagnoses and treatment for depression.
