Song Min-qiu,borned in a learned family, was a famous historian and an expert inlocal records.He finsihed a large number of works,one of them was the famous LocalRecords of Chang-an (Chang-an Zhi),Chang-an Zhi was edited at the9thyear of thetime of "Xi Xing",which was the reign title of emperor--Song Shen zong,in NorthernSong Dynasty. It recorded the palace in Zhou、Qin、Han、Tang dynasty. This work wasa study of the basis for the capital in and before Tang dynasty.It was in an importantperiod,in which the local records of Northern Song Dynasty developed from mapclassics、geographic documentations to local chronicles.This also was a local recordwork that should be payed attention to,because it was a transition in history.Chang-an Zhi was complimented by every times,it had rich regional features.Thispaper aims at these researches, investigates its source,evolution and formation.And,inthis study,we summarized the history and culture characteristics in Song Dynasty.Fromthe tradition in literature edition,locating its historical and cultural background.Thispaper combines with private catalogue,and modern libraries’collections,to study itstextual research of edition,getting its editional spread condition.The second,with thestereotype of local records in Song Dynasty,this paper studied Chang-an Zhi’scompiling.purpose,its compiling content,and its compiling style.Exploring itscompiling level, compiling aim,and compiling characteristics is also this paper’sfocus.This paper considered Chang-an Zhi had abundant contents,the writing pattern ofrecounting history and modern, perfect style,it had been a mature record.Finally,wediscussed Chang-an Zhi’s value and significance,digging its historical value and urbanculture value,specially researching its architecture culture, marketplace culture,andreligion culture.Excert these,this paper objectively evaluated Chang-an Zhi’sshortcomings in comiling contents and style.At last,this conclusion thought,as a stereotype record,Chang-an Zhi had maturelevel, comiling style and content,it had an profound influence on the Chnag-an localrecords in the later ages.It was academic apotheosis in local records of Northern SongDynasty.This paper’s main text is divided into three chapters,as well asexordium,concluding remarks,reference and so on,there are six parts in number.Theword number is about46thousand.
