| Perfectionism is a personality trait which sought to complete the task with high standardsand accompanied by critical self-evaluation tendencies. Perfectionist’s most notablecharacteristics are low self-efficacy, hesitant, higher standards and requirements as well as harshrequirements to others. These performance will lead to strained relationships and negativeevading experiences, and easily becoming anxious and sensitive.Sandplay is a psychological treatment combined with play therapy and analyticalpsychology, at the same time, it can diagnosis psychological problems. In this study, we usesandplay to diagnosis and intervene the student of perfectionism. The study includes twoaspects, on the one hand, use the questionnaire to screen out the perfectionists and toexplore the characteristics of their Sandplay products. On the other hand, we use sandplay totreat the negative perfectionists, and to test the effectiveness of interventions.The results show that:(1) Overall, there are differences between the perfectionist group and control group on thetime of producting, the numbers of moving, trauma themes, sand moving situation, the figureof self and the total number of toys;(2) The characteristics of initial sandplay production of the perfectionist group showed morelimit and attack theme, but the neglect and confusion theme are significantly less than controlgroup. They moved sand more frequently and substantially, but their numbers of self-image aresignificantly less than the control group; they used a longer time to product the sandplay andmoved more than the control group.(3) Sandplay therapy can reduce the hesitation time of perfectionist students and evadableexperience and promote perfectionists to improve their relationships. It proved that sandplayhas a the good effect of intervention. |
