Application Of Sandplay Therapy In Clinical Intervention In Cases Of Homosexuality

With the progress of the times, the mental health of homosexuals is more andmore concerned in the community. Although more and more people accepthomosexuals, but they are still faced many mental health problems and psychologicalpressure, which from themselves, their families and society. Because of theparticularity of homosexuals, they are unlikely to get help by formal psychologicalcounseling, when they are facing psychological distress, especially sensitivepsychological problems. Sandplay therapy has its unique advantage in relieving stressof patients and widely used around the world.In this case,6participators,(2male and4female), from19-year-old to39-year-old, the target is not to interfere with their sexual orientation, but ratherthan to focus on its own mental health status. The study integrated some researchmethods, trying to explore the psychological counseling effects of homosexual cases.Designed and used of sandplay therapy mode on the case study to intervenehomosexuals’ psychological distress, which is modeled in order to rebuild their livesscene, integrate a variety of consulting technology and flexible guiding sandpaly.Inthis four-month consultation, each participator joined the sandplay therapy abouttwo hours each time, participation times ranging from6to12times.This study analyzed sandplay works of six cases, SCL-90, self-perceptionfeedback, etc., and reported a gay’s sandplay consultation process and evaluated theresults. Through vertical analysis, the author also discovered the themes of woundingwere gradually reduced in all cases, while the themes of healing witnessed a growingtrend. The data measured by SCL-90and the overall state of mind before and aftercontrol cases obsessive-compulsive symptoms, interpersonal sensitivity, depression,anxiety, hostility and other positive factors have been substantially reduced to ahealthy level, the overall state of mind is also a substantial increase in.Self-perceptionfeedback combined with cases, consultants feel, follow-up multi-party assessment,sandplay cases psychological distress effective interventions, improve the level ofmental health of cases, and successfully verified the research hypotheses. The originality of the research sandplay therapy used in the homosexual caseconsultation, more active intervention to homosexuals’ psychological distress byintegrating a variety of technical guiding sandplay. Finally, the author has ponderedover the problems found in this study and expressed a series of expectations.
