The narration of "the countrymen come into city" is closely linked with the individual life who lives in the context of Chinese modernization. As is known to all, since the spread of reform in1979, with the development of modernization and the ease of urban-rural dual structure, together with the new century impact of globalization, China’s rural society happened abnormally profound changes and transformation, billions of villagers from the vast loess land crushed into the city and forrmed a unstoppable social great migration movement. If traditional rural life is people who stick to the land, is the family clan in the unity and continuation, then today’s rural life is people who betray the land, is the family clan which goes to collapse and the end. Thus a blooming of literature narrative in "the countrymen come into city" is born and becomes a trend to be reckoned with in the contemporary literary world. From the beginning of the80s, Sun Huifen starts to pay close attention to the country people who experience times change and historical impact after they enter into the city."The countrymen come into city" is the main theme and the narrative angle of her novels."My first writing is in order to escape, that is the betrayal of the country world, later writing, is to keep watch that is my memories of the rural land, instead of changing, I’m trying to announce the puzzle of human nature and reach the depth of the human nature and the depth of fate." She regards "the countrymen come into city" as the breakout of spirit. Besides, she is always thinking of their spiritual dilemma and options. They have to endure the double pain experiences of being margins in the city and strangers at home. The author is always standing in their shoes and walking into the deep of their spirit world from the details of the daily life. Then she will describe the difficult modernization and the historical change in life context.
