The Meaning Of "art" Extended And Cultural Research

Cultural linguistics is a kind of science discussing about cultural nature and cultural values of language. Cultural linguistic research is not only to deepen the knowledge of language cultural properties, but also to better understand the characteristics of the nation’s way of thinking around the people who use it. It also has great significance to reshape the overall outlook of the national culture. Academic focus on the Chinese character "shu" in linguistics and philosophy, the main research is about the explanation of the meaning of "shu" and making its philosophical meaning clear. Using the perspective of cultural linguistics to explain "shu" is not much in the present research, but you can see many of the extended meaning of "shu" are not be accomplished at one stroke along the cultural development, and it contains a large number of cultural psychology, that is the goal of the research. During the thesis, I draw on the theories of cultural linguistics, combining with the findings of some scholars on"shu", try to sort the meaning of "shu",and hope to dig out the hidden cultural connotations behind the character.This study is mainly from two angles, including language and culture. I start from the angle of linguistics, including the original meaning and extended meaning. The original meaning is from the perspective of the exegesis, by referencing the previous research results and combining from the glyph and the pronunciation of "shu","shu" can be inferred as "road". Researching for the extended meaning of "shu" starts from the dictionary, there are many meanings of "shu",classify them, then return to the original documents which containing the meaning of "shu".assume the reasonable extended route about "shu" according to the order of the literature. At the same time the hidden meaning behind cultural connotations would be revealed. After this work, we can establish the relationship among many meanings, and know more clearly about the development trajectory of "shu".Studies from cultural side of "shu" comes mainly from important books of the pre-Qin Dynasty. I choose some valuable concept of "shu" by the way of tracing to its source, such as Confucian "humane strategy",Taoism "shortsightedly self-serving strategy", Legalism "strategy of the emperor" and so on. It can be seen that from the cultural perspective of "shu".with the development of culture, the evolution of language is also followed in fact.From these research, I confirm the extended line of "shu" above from the negative side is right, making the result of this study more realistic and reliable.In short, the vocabulary word "shu" can be used as a cultural mirror, reflecting the cultural changes and cultural development, and at the same time, the evolution of culture also contributes to the change of its meanings. Language and culture promote each other and they combine together to promote the development of national culture.
