This thesis tries to analyze the power represented by the paintings of Modernism of the western world, and the way of which were developing during art history. Here my painting expierience will be involved, especially my aesthetic expierence and my.understanding about the dialectical relationship between form and power. Thus i can put it into a frame in a systematical and theoretical frame to set it up in ordered logic. The questioning is important because it is not only about the transformation of art function.artists have been persuing this since they were visually and mentally liberated since modernism. The importance of analyzing is not only about the painting structure itsself, but also about the artists’way to express their inner world.Futhermore, asinstint of human beings,"power"has its own psychological basic.People came to notice that aesthetic has its own multiplicuty when "Gestalt Psychology" was thriving, the most important two aspects of which is its cultural affection and human instinct. The later seems to be much more immortal and direct.Aboveall,I want to start with the art of Neo-Classisism to study how modernists made their artworks to express their feeling of "power".
