In recent years, the vigorous development of China’s economy and nationalstrength has made other countries get the rapidly growing influence of China.Nowadays, more and more foreigners are aware of the importance of learningChinese language. Thai society is one of the countries that emphasize on Chineselanguage education. That is one of the mayor reasons why there are urgent need theChinese teachers. In this context, in order to provide Thailand with representatives ofChinese culture, which they are volunteer teachers who were sent from China.Although, Chinese teaching in Thailand is a gratifying experience for teachers andstudents but still exist some problems that need to be immediately solve. Such as: theteachers they are lack of qualified and teaching experience they might have thecultural gap between two countries cultural differences in teaching methods whichmight be nor suitable, etc. These problems are obstacles to the rapid and effectivedevelopment of Chinese teaching in Thailand.For that reason this paper is based on aresearch of72Chinese teachers from12of the northern Thailand. Chiang Rai highschools and universities which have in their curricula Chinese lessons. It is survey andrelated interviews were conducted within the schools’s professional teachers toanalyze the existing Chinese teaching problems in Chiang Rai. From feedback we’regot provides a reference to make effective conclusions and suggestions.Which significance of thesis is to increase the efficiency of Chinese teaching,provide Chinese language teachers in Thailand or the coming teachers clues oncultural differences to reduce negative impact of the experiences.The fundamentalpurpose of study is to promote among Chinese language teachers to improveprofessional level and contribute to Chinese education in Thailand.In this thesis contents have five chapters:The first chapter provides to a brief introduction to the background of theresearch, the reason for purpose and the significance of the study. Theoreticalknowledge on research ideas and methods are explained on this chapter.The second chapter describes the background of the development of Chineselanguage education in Thailand and of Chiang Rai Chinese education. In addition to present questionnaires which lets us a comprehensive understanding of Chineselanguage teachers’ professional development in Chiang Rai.The third chapter provides to research the results through summarizing in termsof professional knowledge, ability, professional affection for Chinese languageteaching the development process within Chiang Rai, and finally we’re analyzing thereasons to fix these problems.The fourth chapter to focuses on the problems of Chinese language teachers’professional development in Chiang Rai. We proposed as well some measures topromote Chinese language teachers’ professional development.The conclusion section of fifth chapter is summarizes the results of the study andpointed out some of the unachieved points or inefficiencies of the study.The research had as an objective to understand the Chinese language teachers’professional development status in Chiang Rai and Chinese language education inThailand is not fully mature by now, that is one of the reasons that need to focus onthis urgent and some resolve of Chinese language teachers are professionaldevelopment issues. For the better development of Chinese language education inThailand, and dissemination of Chinese culture through all the country, the Chineselanguage teachers need to develop a higher level of professional development.
