“Jiaodong Drum” formed at the last year of the Qing Dynasty,it is a kind oftraditional folk Shuochang Music Art that is popular in Jiaodong Peninsula.The name of“Jiaodong Drum” is from that “Jiaodong localism” and the mainly accompanyinstrument durm in singing.At early forming time,it was sung by the blind singer.Alsocalled “Blind tune”.Then, Jiaodong Drum was used to advertising the thought ofrevolution in Anti-japanese War.So called “Revolution Drum”. Its history islong,mainly distributed in Jiaodong area.The cultural connotation is very rich.Aferhundred of years inheritancing and changing, Jiaodong Drum formed two kind of shapethat one is from “Traditional”,the other is “Modern”at present.The kind of “Traditional”is inheritanced by the blind singers in Qixia.It keeps the performance and musiccharacter in the early forming time.But it can not be fit the progressive society now.Inconcerned branch support and protect,the inheritance hold.The kind of “Modern” isinheritanced by LiuYanfeng who is working in Laizhou cultural department.He takesplace Jiaodong Drum tradion form by Child Music Drama， popularized byquality-oriented education.It was connected with the form of Jiaodong Drum and fablein the Yuwen textbook.Taking it to be the solid teaching text.The form is extensiveaccepted by the Quyi realm and spread in Yantai area.In academic circles,the research for the brief overview and traceability in JiaodongDrum,from the deep level of its generation,formation,propagation,music structure,formrespect such as rheology no detailed research.Jiaodong Drum from the diachironic andsynchronic angle,using the linguistic of music method.Taking Jiaodong Drum in Qixiaand Laizhou as a case study,put on in the region of the culture background,from itshistorical origin,status of survival and protect three aspects carries on the detailedelaboration and explanation.Through the “Jiaodong Drum” historical and moderninterpretation,in the historical process of the music cultural connotation.
