Estampes is one of the most representative impressionism compositionsby Claude Debussy. As one of the most representative Debussy piano works,the piano divertimento "Estampes" was written in1903. The JavaneseGamelan music was first debuted at the world exposition in the Paris whichbrought a lot of elements of oriental music, and it had a profoundinfluence on the creation of the great composer.In this article, themusical image of this piano cycle was analyzed and the piano performancewas discussed, which had the certain practical significance to bettergrasp the Debussy’s piano works, as well as the peculiar music line andmusic color of impressionism style works for us.
