Fairness and justice is a necessary condition of social existence and development; abasic guarantee for maintaining social order and stability; also the reality needs of buildinga moderately prosperous society. The fairness and justice idea proposed by Hu Jin Tao isbased on the idea of Marxism as well as the fair doctrine raised by three generations ofChinese collective leadership. He made it clear that safeguarding and realizing of socialfairness and justice is the essence of China’s socialist system; the basic objective ofbuilding a socialist harmonious society; the relentless pursuit of lofty goals for the ChineseCommunists.This article starts by discussing the theoretical basis of fairness and justice thinkingputting forward by Hu Jin Tao; focusing on the analysis of its scientific content; and itsdetailed statement and summary of the four distinctive characteristics. The fairness andjustice ideology raised by Hu Jin Tao not only enrich and develop the theoretical system ofMarxism; and also make a scientific innovation of the Marxist fairness and justice theory.Practice has proved that Hu’s fairness and justice thought has provided the value assess ofstrengthening the party’s ability to coordinate, and provides a theoretical basis to safeguardthe interests of the masses to ensure social justice; and a scientific method to solve theconflicts of interest to promote social harmony. At present, there are many social justiceissues, Hu put forward a series of scientific reality initiatives, which gives an inspirationand plays a major role in guiding and profound for the problems and contradictions wecorrectly facing, in order to handle the social maintenance and achieve the social justice.
