Since the incident of September11terrorist attack in United States, U.S foreignpolicy on “anti-terrorism” has changed significantly. The Middle East area isbecoming more turbulent, which poses greater challenge to U.S public diplomacy. Therefore, Both Bush and Obama administration restarted public diplomacy in thisarea in all dimension from different perspective and with different methods. However, they achieved little due to the unsolved fundamental problems of its foreign policy. With the development of China, it brings about increasing global influence as well asmisunderstanding about China. Thus public diplomacy is valued more important thanbefore, which needs to draw from the lessons of U.S public diplomacy to improve itsown level.
