| China’s Diplomacy Policy of "The Peaceful Development" was discussed in this research from three different periods of time, and it was argued that "The Peaceful Development" had been the core policy since the reform and opening-up of China. Jiang Zemin and Hu Jingtao creatively inherited and developed Deng Xiaoping’s diplomacy policy and made "The Peaceful Development" mainly have four contexts: Peace and development as the themes of the times; national interests as the supreme criterion in dealing with the relations between countries;"Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistences" as the cornerstone of international relations; and establishment of the new international order as the target."The Peaceful Development" policy had got great achievement since the reform and opening-up, it had created a peaceful international environment for China’s construction of "Socialism with Chinese Characteristics", promoted China’s national strength and international influence, risen China’s level of opening-up, started a new situation of China’s diplomacy, and also contributed to the world peace and flourish. However,"The Peaceful Development" policy would have great challenges in China and internationally. The international challenges would be the return of the United States to Asia, complex and ever-changing geopolitical situation, and the differentiation of the developing country group. The Domestic challenges would include China’s level of development, unperfected system of diplomacy, and lack of the awareness of a large country. It had been argued in this research that three countermeasures would be raised, that China would continue to enhance the nation strength, raise the international recognition, and cultivate a sound awareness of great nation. |
