Research On Foster’s Philosophy Thoughts Of Ecological Politics

Harmony between human and nature is the premise for the survival and development of human. However, with the development of Capitalism and the continuous improvement of science and technology, the human paid too much attention to the exploitation and plunder of the nature, seriously neglecting the protection of the nature, and the result accompanied by was the revenge of the nature to human, especially eco-environmental problems constitute a serious threat to the survival and development of human. In this context, western Marxists combined modern ecology with Marxism, trying to solve all kinds of problems of ecological environment of Capitalism, thus creating the theory of ecological Marxism. In which, the ecological Marxist of America, Foster further studied and developed Marx’s transformation theory of material and the principles of ecology underlying in communist ideology, constructing Marx’s ecology, and made eco-Marxism to a new stage.This paper makes a systematic study and research on Foster’s philosophy thoughts of ecological politics. It pointes out that the thoughts with Marx’s transformation theory of material and the theory of alienated labor as its theoretical basis, and has a profound criticism on anti-ecological essence of Capitalism as well as the new imperialism. He is full of confidence to socialism, adhering to Marx’s class struggle theory, and advocates the union of environmental protection movement and the class struggle, emphasis on class struggle is the main force of social change. On this basis, Foster puts forward a complete set of strategic conception to solve the ecological crisis and constructs the practice programme of eco-socialist society, providing new perspectives and research to solve the problems of eco-environment, criticism of Capitalism and how to realize socialism.Except the introduction, this paper is divided into three parts:The first part, systematic combs that the social and historical background and the theory origin of Foster’s philosophy thoughts of ecological politics; The second part, further discusses that the theoretical basis and the basic ideas of Foster’s philosophy thoughts of ecological politics; The third part, focus on the analysis of the theoretical contribution and limitations of Foster’s philosophy thoughts of ecological politics, as well as the beneficial enlightenment to the ecological civilization construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
