Since300years of the industrial revolution, mankind has created unprecedented industrialcivilization. However, the ecological crisis began sweeping the globe from the middle of thetwentieth century, such as global warming, mineral resource shortage, constant deterioration ofenvironment, frequent occurrence of disastrous weather. The shocking ecological problems soundthe alarm to the human survival and development, so that the human can’t indulge in theenjoyment of the material for conquering nature, and have to reflect on the severe trauma broughtby industrial civilization which is difficult to heal.Since the later period of the twentieth century, on the basis of careful reflection on therelationship between people, people and society, people and nature, the concept of ecologicalcivilization has begun to become popular worldwide and gradually win support among the people.Emphasizing the harmonious development between human society and ecological environmentand pursuing the harmony and co-dependence between man and nature, ecological civilizationinitiates a new era of the reconciliation and harmony between man and nature. Nowadays, as theformation and continuous development of new pattern of civilization, where will ecologicalcivilization move? Broadly speaking, ecological civilization is the highest stage of developmentafter industrial civilization. In a narrow sense, the ecological civilization is the importantcomponent of the social civilization system. That is to say, compared with the materialcivilization, political civilization and spiritual civilization, the ecological civilization refers to theunderstanding degree of civilization based on the relationship between man and nature.When using the Marxism history philosophy and social theory to review the history ofhuman development, we find that the history of the development of human society is a history ofthe development of the relationship between man and nature and the relationship between manand nature reflects the relationship between people, people and society truthfully. A series ofglobal ecological environment problems warn humans: industrial development pattern is difficultto maintain,the development of human civilization progress requires urgently the surpassing overthe industrial civilization. In the face of the plight of the development of human civilization, fromthe perspective of the relationship between man and nature, the human social developmenthistory should have many stages and it’s pressing to establish the generalized ecology civilization(social form) concept. Reconstructing the harmonious relationship between man andnature,taking the road of sustainable development,examining human society developmentconcept and code of conduct in the view of ecological civilization, constructing the ecologicalcivilization into a new society form of continuous human survival and development, human beings need to build the ecological civilization of politics, economy and culture and promote theharmonious development of the social system of ecological civilization. Ecological civilizationtransforming to social form of degree not only has completely overturned the behavior pattern ofhuman’s conquering and dominating nature in the past300years but also means that thetransformation industrial civilization to ecological civilization will be realized in the civilizationof human society.Since the30years of reform and opening, the achievements of Chinese characteristicsocialism have attracted worldwide attraction.However, the ecological environment situationwhich china’s economic and social development is faced with is very grim and special nationalcondition urgently requires us to take a new civilization development road. The construction ofChinese characteristic socialism ecological civilization, which is the Chinese people’s practice ofinnovation, is the inevitable result of the development of contemporary Chinese society.Moreover, it will be the new contribution that the Chinese characteristic socialism makes to thecivilization development of human society.
