In The Cultivation Of Citizens Public Spirit Research In China

The public spirit of citizens is conceived in the public realm,based on thedevelopment of public communication rather than in one public reason, is the way ofindependence and freedom of the individual in public life to common interestaltruistic attitudes and behavior,and the requirement of the basic moral and valueorientation of the public interest in mind, which is formed by good of the individual inthe public domain，it is the specific performance for the independence and freedom ofpersonal "private area" beyond,and community members to actively participate inpublic life.Among them,it identified a series of basic value targets,including fairness,freedom, democracy,order and responsibility.In addition,public spirit also includesbasic connotation of independent personality spirit,justice spirit,democracy and therule of law spirit, social ethics consciousness,self-discipline awareness,and somecharacteristics public nature, impartiality, permeability, openness,and the times.Thesehave great significance for our country to promote social political civilization,materialcivilization,spiritual civilization,and comprehensive development of the individual.Public spirit has some development in the history of our country ,but productionin the social division of public and private spheres of modern public spirit on the basisof certain differences.China has entered the new period, public spirit has shown agood momentum of development,but it is not yet ripe for development, existing lackof current situation in all aspects of society.This is also caused by China’s specialsituation,such as the negative effects of traditional culture,the imperfections of themarket economy system,the community lacks public nature of public power, theimmaturity of civil society and public space in the narrow,members of society lack ofawareness of self-discipline self-control.However, China is fully building aharmonious society,facing the challenges of the market economy, politicaldemocratization, the value of diversity, the comprehensive development, it need tocultivate public spirit of citizens urgently.This article is also based on the purpose to explore the cultivation of public spirit of our citizens,and to put forward thecorresponding countermeasures for the cultivation of public spirit of citizens.This paper mainly consists of five parts: the first part: basic overview of publicspirit.It mainly defines the connotation of public spirit clearly,leads to the concept ofpublic spirit,and explores some important features of public spirit and its developmentprocess.The second part:present situation of the public spirit of our citizens.
