In today’s era of party politics, political parties and government relations is the core of acountry’s political system or political process. Research on the relationship between politicalparties and government is to solve the fundamental problem of how political parties involved inthe national regime. The United States is the only superpower after the Drastic Change,analysisment of the relationship between political parties and the government of the UnitedStates after World War II , which is based on a compare view of research to examine the relationamong the world’s major capitalist countries,and which contribute to understanding and thinkingabout that how to deal with the relation between Chinese political parties and government .Meanwhile, in the point of political parties to understand of the American political system, helpto understanding the nature of American democratic , drawing on the achievements of Westernpolitical civilization, and having a great significance to understanding and reflecting of China’sdemocratic political reform and political progress of civilization.Divided into six chapters in discourse. The first chapter, focusing on interpretation of theconcept of political parties, government, and the relationship between political parties andgovernment.This chapter traces the historical origins of the political parties, government, mainlythe United States, Britain and other early political parties and their historical evolution, andsummes up the government of the root causes of all kinds of doctrine. Defined on the conceptualbasis of the political parties, government, pointing out that the definition of political parties andgovernment relations, the type of the division of relations, and pointing out that the U.S. belongsto which kind type of ,and then trace its historical development and evolution .The secondchapter analyzes the relationship between political parties and the government of the UnitedStates after World War II and its affecting factors. The chapter argues that the characteristics ofthe political parties and government relations mainly two aspects: First, the stability of thetwo-party system; Second, there is no absolute significance of the opposition parties. Itsinfluencing factors include five areas: the separation of powers system of government, federalstate structure, loose type of party organization, the American political culture, and Americaninterest group politics.Chapter III discusses the impact which American political parties on the government after World War II . The chapter argues that the political parties impinge on the government mainlytwo aspects: political parties impact government elections, political parties influence governmentpolicy . Political parties influence government elections ,which embodies in two levels: presidentelection and local government elections. Political parties influence government policy,whichembodied in four levels : the government’s economic policy, social policy, cultural policy, andforeign policy. Chapter IV discusses the impact which the government on political parties afterWorld War II . This chapter mainly embodies in three aspects: the political parties campaign forgovernment support, the government performance test of the ruling party legitimacy, governmenttolerance of non-ruling party interpretation.The fifth chapter analyzes the problems of the U.S.political parties and government relations in World War II. This chapter argues that mainly inthree aspects: first, the political parties share the booty, black money transactions; Second, theattacks from political parties, political parties, internal division; third, party oligarchy, a fewpeople’s democracy.As the conclusion part of text, Chapter VI makes a comprehensive evaluation of therelationship between political parties and the government of the United States after World WarII .This chapter argues that the relationship exists in a specific political system environment,non-portable; Second, the political parties and government relations play an important role,should not be underestimated; Third, the relationship is seriously flawed, can not be ignored;Fourth,the substance of relations is to safeguard the interests of the bourgeoisie,non-superstitious.
