By means of the current criminal investigation resources, it improves the efficiency of the criminal to crack more and important criminal cases. In this way, improved is the efficiency in criminal action process, a systematic one concerning many aspects such as management of the staff, their personal quality, layout of the institutions, techniques and equipment in criminal investigation science. Based on the organization structure mode in the setting of institutions, this paper digs into the common modes in the handling of criminal cases by special investigation groups, makes analysis, from the perspective of organization structure, then finds out the places that need to be improved by adoption of projectized organizational structure, and conduct discussion on the optimization of these places by way of projectized organizational structures, explore into the possibilities of improvement from the level of mechanisms.Special investigation group, the common operation mode in handling criminal cases, is very typical in application of project management in criminal case investigation. Staffed With the elite policemen, special investigation groups, with the guarantee of enough finance and materials, can concentrate on the cracking of major cases.Under the linear functional type organization structure, the traditional special investigation groups, with emphasis on the command and enforcement, is characterized by the excessive levels in coordinated operation and low efficiency. With the optimization of linear functional type organization with the application of project organization structure, the communication in the coordinated operation and efficiency, on the basis of command and enforcement, will be improved.
