Hobbes is the master which is a connecting link in the history of Westernpolitical thought, especially his theory of the state play an important role inintellectual history, this idea prominent manifestation of the magnum opus is that the1651harvest book “Leviathan”. Hobbes inherited Machiavelli’s realism researchmethods, created the theory of “natural state”, and on this basis combined withcontract theory to create a new state theory-the birth of secular authoritarian state.The theory of the state can be traced back to ancient Greece Plato and Aristotle,two sages are starting from the human nature that the person is a natural politicalanimal, and people combine together to form a city-state life, the city-state thepurpose of life is to achieve perfection. Hobbes and the opposite, it is fundamentallyopposed to that people are born with is the assertion of the political animal, pointedout that the country is a human choice of last resort, the artifact. From the opening ofthe “Leviathan”, he stressed that the country’s aim is to achieve peace and securityorder, rather than the perfection of life.Hobbes’s theory of the state first description of the natural state, the state ofnature, the human emotion of completion, jealousy, and honor led to the devastatingwar against all, the great fear of violent death, as well as remnants of rational humanthinking about how to move towards peace. Thus the people against the rights ofothers transferring out to reach a contract by a public in individuals or groups incharge of all power, in order to achieve peace and order, and ultimately achieve thepurpose of self-preservation.In the countries of the legislative, judicial, conquest, academic, religious andother subjects, like Hobbes said. The absolute concentration of power and cannot be split, subjects only obedience. Of course subjects enjoy freedom outside the law, evenin exceptional circumstances have to resist the right to Hobbes he was unwilling toadmit.The significance of this paper is re-discovered the theory of Hobbes on State.
