Youth worship is a significant topic in Chinese Modern History and youth prioritized by students is an indispensable factor of the vissicitude of Modern China. During the late Qing Dynasty and the early Min Dynasty, emphasis of juvenile and youth worship prevailed and became a special social climate following the trend of respect for the West and the worship of new. This paper reviewed and reflected on Modern China juvenile/youth literature and purports to, on the one hand, investigate the formation of youth worship and the underlying ideological and cultural causes, and, on the other hand, depict one aspect of the complicated modern history, based on literature and rational imagination, through a discussion of the following questions: the old and the new dispute, the pursuit of ideal personality and society, the power transfer in the changing society of modern China.
