Thanks to the three decades of reform and opening up, the economy of China developed rapidly. But along with the rapid economic development, some negative effects also emerged gradually. In recent years, the eruption of the problems of house demolition was the byproduct of the acceleration of industrialization and urbanization. Expropriation and compensation which related to national stability and security, the people’s lives and work, the economic sustainable, must be resolved in the correct ways. This dissertation discusses on the narrow sense of the house expropriation and compensation. Broadly speaking, the housing expropriation should include both the housing expropriation on state-owned land and collective land.
