Development Path And Countermeasure Of A New Elderly Apartment

With the rapid development of Chinese aging trend, the traditional family elderly support mode had been exposing increasingly problems. The change of people’s idea help to transform the mode of elderly support from traditional family-based to society-based gradually. Therefore, the apartments for the aged had arisen gradually. After two centuries, relevant research on the operation mode of Elderly Apartments in developed countries has been tending toward perfect. These countries have not only constructed relatively stable operation modes of Elderly Apartment and complete social security system; and the life quality of aged people has been improving. Although China has, in the past decades, achieved something in the operation mode Elderly Apartment, but has not built a relatively independent and generally-accepted theoretical system. Especially the domestic study about the mode of Elderly Apartment with property right is little and empirical. Although making some beneficial attempts, such elderly apartments in Tianjin city and Binzhou city (in Shandong province) are far away from popularization. The thesis attempts to lay analysis upon the development, the problems and the operation modes of the Elderly Apartments, especially the membership-style elderly apartment and the elderly apartment with property right, in order to explore the solution measures at the policy level, to improve the quality of life of the elderly, to optimize the operation modes of Chinese Elderly Apartment. The thesis discusses its value and meaning from the angle of public policy optimization, which is helpful to deepen the system of elderly support.The paper is divided into five parts:the first chapter is Introduction, which mainly introduces the background and significances of the research, the domestic and foreign literature review, and the possible innovations.The second chapter is the theoretical analysis of the elderly residence construction under the background of aging population. This part mainly analyzes the current aging reality of our country, that is, getting old before it gets rich, and explores into the necessity and feasibility of Elderly Apartment. The third chapter is the status quo and problems of domestic and foreign elderly apartment development, which introduces the birth and the status quo of elderly apartment, summarizes the relevant problems, and then concludes to develop new operation modes of elderly apartment.The fourth chapter is some cases of new elderly apartment, which mainly explains the concept and the Cases of new elderly apartment with property right, and explores into the operation mechanism of elderly apartment with property right.In conclusion, in the fifth chapter is challenges of the elderly apartment and its countermeasures. This section describes the problems in the construction and management of elderly apartment.
