Research On The Status Of Social Support For The Elderly In Rural Areas An Example Of The Elderly In Village

At present,China's aging speed is accelerating.By the end of 2016,the population of aged 60 and above reached 230 million860 thousand,of which more than 60% of the elderly lived in the countryside.With the development of this trend,the pressure of providing for the aged in rural areas will be bigger and bigger,and the problem of providing for the aged in rural areas will also become more prominent.Under this background,the author uses the social support theory as the theoretical basis,using the semi structural interview method and the field observation method,taking the elderly people in the L village as the research object and taking the social support of the old people in the village of L village as the research theme to make a comprehensive study on the status of the social support of the elderly in the village of L.The content of the researchincludes three levels,such as the status of the formal support and informal support of the elderly in the village of L,the status of life care support and the status of emotional and entertainment support.Subsequently,the author analyzes the plight of the elderly in L village in terms of social support.Finally,some suggestions are put forward to improve the social support system for the elderly in L village,including the supporting role of government,grassroots organizations,social organizations,families and other formal and informal support subjects.The improvement of the social support system for the elderly in rural areas is not only conducive to solving the difficulties encountered by the elderly in the old age,improving the quality of the old people's life in the old age,but also has a positive impact on alleviating the increasingly heavy pension problem.
