The Construction Of Socialist Core Value System Under The Globalization

In the6th Session of the16th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the important issue of "Building a Socialist Core Value System" was first clear presented in the "Resolution on Major Issues Regarding the Building of a Harmonious Socialist Society", and summarized socialist core value system’s basic content to four aspects:the guiding ideology of Marxism, the common ideal of socialism with Chinese characteristics, patriotism-centered national spirit and the spirit of the times centering on reform and innovation as well as the concept of socialist honor and disgrace. The proposal of the socialist core value system is not only our Party’s great achievement in the theoretical innovation, but also an important step in building a socialist harmonious culture and a socialist harmonious society.Today, under the action of the globalization’s power, the ideological culture and spiritual products from all over the world will also be continuously carried out in-depth exchange, dialogue and even conflict. In this being, the standard to measure a country’s comprehensive national power is no longer merely its superiority on economic, military, scientific, technological and other advantages, the importance of ideological culture and values are becoming more and more highlighted. Obviously, in the era of globalization, the construction of the socialist core value system is particularly urgent and important.In the global cultural exchanges and under the multiple effects of the western social though, how to defend the dominant position of the socialist core value system in the multi-cultural exchange are our Party and State’s top issues in building socialist core values system.Under the realm of globalization, the construction of socialist core value system is a long historical process. Therefore, we must insist on long-term education and guidance, insist on scientific and effective path or methods, merging the construction of socialist core value system into the whole process of the national education, enhancing the attractiveness and cohesion of the socialist ideology, consolidating the whole party and the people of all nationality’s ideological foundation for unity and struggle in the whole society, to guarantee the Chinese characteristic socialism enterprise completes smoothly. At the same time, we also draw lessons from all superior civilizations, derive the finest ingredients from Chinese traditional values, to realize its inheritance and transcendence from traditional values to modern values.
