The Study On The Rational Needs Of Peogle In The Period Of Constructing The Harmonious Society

In line with the development of the society and history, we have realized thatnot all the needs of us are rational despite the fact that the needs of the people serveas the driving force of the whole society. In the current state of affairs, the country isin the stage of transformation, which is quite critical in terms of development.Consequently, we have some new features concerning the needs of domestic people.Currently, the excessive purchase of profit and personal satisfaction has led to thedecrease of the humanitarian spirit and imbalance of the ecological circle. Wealready knew that one of the fundamental principles of constructing the harmonioussociety is people-oriented principle, which means that people’s needs, especiallythose rational, are the reasons we have to change the society. The harmonious societyshould consist of the harmony of people, the harmony between human and the natureas well as the harmony between human and the society. However, the rational needsof people are essential needs that go in accordance with the human nature. As aresult, the construction of the harmonious society provides favored conditions for therealization of the needs of the people; whereas the realization of the rational need ofpeople serves as the important guarantee for the construction of the harmonioussociety.This article analyzes the rational needs of human in the environment of theharmonious society, and could be divided into3parts. First, the author discussed theconnotation and evaluative measures of the rational need of human in the perspectiveof the alienated needs of human proposed by Karl Marx and H. Marcuse’s false needtheory, and pointed out that the rational needs of human are basically in accordanceto the human nature in terms of the significance of the term need. The rational needis also following the principles and purposes of human activity. The content andstructure of rational need would comply with the requirements of the development ofhuman society and the nature and benefit the long-term prosper between individual and the society as a whole. The evaluative measures for rational needs shouldinclude2aspects, namely the objective measurement and the subjectivemeasurement. Second, the thesis probed into the2salient issues we encounteredduring the transformation of the whole society, and they are respectively thedissatisfaction of basic and rational needs of people and the irrationality of the scopeof needs we have, which directs to actually the ‘false needs”. Immediately, theauthor deployed the reasons for the above2issues in the material, ideological andecological perspective. In the end, the author stressed that the realization andsatisfaction of the rational needs of people are the important guarantees and vitalsolutions for the construction of the harmonious society, and proposed5points,invariably the approaches to realize the rational needs of people in the background ofthe construction of the harmonious society.
