The Research Of The Youngster’ Values In Western New Energy Economic Zones

With the gradual implementation of the strategy of the Western Development, anumber of new energy economic zones have emerged in the western regions of China.Thanks to their own energy advantages, these regions have formed an extensive economydevelopment mode that is mainly comprised of development and processing in energy andresource industries and realized continued and rapid economic growth within a short periodof time. However, the rapid economic development has further highlighted the relativelybackward education level and construction of spiritual civilization in these regions. Facedwith the powerful incentive of economic interests, the youngsters in the new energyeconomic zones in the western regions of China tend to deviate their values and form thedecadent and backward ideas such as individualism, money worship and utilitarianism.Therefore, enhancing youngsters’ ideological and moral education and guiding them inestablishing correct values will be of great realistic significance to the sustainabledevelopment in economic society in these regions.Yulin, Shaanxi is a typical representative of these new energy economic zones in thewestern regions of China. Grasping the opportunity of the Western Development, Yulin hasrapidly developed into an economically powerful city and new energy center in Shaanxiand even the western regions of China, becoming one of the important windows thatwitness the achievements of the Western Development. The paper, by taking three MiddleSchools in Yulin as an example,studies the current situation of youngsters’ values in YulinCity through the empirical approaches such as questionnaires and interviews, tries toreflect the current situation of values of local youngsters as detailedly as possible, analyzesthe negative factors that influence the formation of youngsters’ values and brings forwardthe corresponding education measures.The paper is mainly composed of four parts: The first part is introduction, whichmainly includes the background of the topic, significance and research methods, research status quote at home and abroad, etc. The second part mainly researches and studiesyoungsters’ values in the new energy economic zone in Yulin and summarizes the mainfeatures of the values of local youngsters. The third part analyzes the negative factors thatinfluence the formation of youngsters’ values in the area. The fourth part brings forwardthe corresponding education measures for values.
