As the special geographic location and rich oil resources, Middle East has an important role in international politics. The Islam always affects the internal and outside politics of the countries in the Middle East since its emergence. The world has a trend of globalization and modernization, the Islam still has an incomparable role in Middle East. The Islam has been divided into two sections-Shia and Sunnite due to successor and doctrine difference. The believers of Shia have firm faith that Ali and his descendent are the successor of Muhammad. The Shia is minority and uneven distribution in the Middle East relative to Sunnite. But as the development of thought and capability in Shia and the impact from regional and global political shifts, the Shia has a greater effect upon the politics in Middle East. Thereby, the thesis which enters on the political effects by Shia is featured by a great theoretical and practical significance to learn political complexity in Middle East.On the basis of previous studies, the thesis mainly studies the political effects of Shia in Middle East. Firstly, starting from the introduction, the paper summarizes Shiite political culture characteristics. Secondly, according to the role and power in the country, the paper selects Iran, Iraq and Lebanon as cases in point. Through the analysis of Islamic Revolution1979, Iraq War and communal politics of Lebanon, the paper studies the relationship between the politics and Shia and the way Shia influences the politics. Finally, the paper summaries the mechanism which Shia affect the politics. The relationship has different performances in different countries, so does the mechanism. But at the same time, the mechanism of the Shia how affect the politics has a Continuous convergence trend. The trend is that the Shia will utilize modern organization to mobilize the believers and use the modern party to achieve its political targets more often.
