The present research made an attempt to analyze the current situation, features and theinfluencing factors of college-graduate village officials’ career development and workadjustment as well as to the relevant expect and recommendation. The thesis was dividedinto three parts. Part one analyzed the features and flaws of career development of villageofficials from the five aspects of preparation for the office, career option, the currentsituation of career, circumstance of the development and the career prospects. Part twomainly talked about the present situation of individual career management (ICM) and itsinfluencing factors by the questionnaire survey method. Part three chiefly explored therelationship between college-graduate village officials’ career development and workadjustment. The results indicate that:(1)The pre-service preparation shortage, utilitarian’ motivation, poor careerdevelopment environment and uncertainty career development prospect all had affectedcollege-graduate village officials’ career development.(2) In order to improve the competitiveness, college-graduate village officialstaking the main career management measures are career goal setting and exploration;(3)In terms of ICM, college-graduate village officials do the best in setting car-eer goal, however, they do the worst in continuing learning compared with employees instate-owned and private enter-prises and middle school teachers.(4) Work value and career development needs all have positive effects on ICM,and career development needs play the full mediating role between work value and ICM.(5) Choosing profession motive and career path planning all had positive effects workadjustment of college-graduate village officials; and individual career managementplayed the full mediating role between career development needs and work adjustment.
