The College Graduates as Village Official policy which aims to promote the construction of new countryside and moderate the severe employment situation in China has got good social effect with continuous improvements. Five career development plans are suggested by the government for those graduates officials at their expiration: to start their own business, to retain the job in the village, to pass the civil service exam and get a position in the government, to pursue advanced studies and to choose another occupation. But influenced by the extent of policy support and other factors the career development of college graduates working as village officials looks not good. Thus the management of their career development is extremely urgent.This paper starts with the current management of the career development of the college graduates working as village officials, elaborates the connotation of career, career management and the career management of college graduates village officials, introduces the essential theories on career development such as the theory of career options, the theory of career development stages and career anchor theory. The author investigated the reality of the career development management of college graduates working as village officials in X city by individual interview, seminars and questionnaires.The study was carried out by two aspects: one is the present situation of the career management organized by the workplace, the other is the actual situation of personal career management of themselves. Analysis of the results indicates the problems in which the problem in organizational and personal career management and the whether the organizational career management can be integrated to the objective of personal career management are discussed elaborately to set a solid foundation for the subsequent measures. The last part of this paper tries to give solutions and strategies to career management of college student village official from both organizational and personal aspects.This paper focused on trying to find the deficiencies of the system and practice of college student village official career management and ways to solve the problem. The paper is expected to be an reference to the study on career management of college graduate village officials.
