Since China opened it’s trade policy, there has been many foreign investment, meanwhile the foreign related law also got further developed, this has played an very important role in adjusting direct foreign investment and social relationships. Along with the deeper development of attracting foreign investment, the existing law demonstrated some limitations to the new environments, this thesis based on Gansu Province, and studied the overall situations of China’s attractions of foreign investment, then compared with the rest of China to reveal Gansu province special chatoristics on attracting foreign investment. We do analysis of factors that limit China’s attraction of foreign investment, give proposals to further improve the law of direct foreign investment.Chapter1elaborates the history, characteristics and current situation of Chinese foreign investment, as well as the trend of future needs.Chapter2further investigates Gansu province current status of foreign investment. We based on the investment source, investing method, industries and regions to give practical analysis. Then compare with the rest of China to summarize the difficulties that facing Gansu province’s attraction of foreign investment.Chapter3studies on China foreign investment law current situation and the potential problems. We emphasis on clearance of law rights, law setting mode different form in and out of province, no specific attention on regional difference etc.Chapter4proposes the importance of reconstructing law setting mode, protecting, and ruling foreign investment, unify the regional foreign capital investment laws to prospers western provinces like Gansu’s economy.
