The modern democracy experienced constant development and progress, it does not merely refer to the simple majority decision. Nowadays, democracy has become the value target of common pursuit of more and more countries, and has universal significance to modern society. Here discusses the Marx’s democratic thought, which is the scientific theory based on criticizing the feudal autocratic system and capitalist democracy, as an important part of Marx’s thought, having played a key role in guiding the proletariat and human liberation. However, any political system can prevent the occurrence of evil completely, mainly because of the tension of operation of the power. Therefore restricting the authority will become the top priority. In the process of operation of democracy, the widely respected principle of "majority" has been mistaken for most people decision. Democratic countries also exist a threat to freedom."It is not always identical between using the power of the people and the people who are imposed by the power ", the result is "the most people oppressing the small part of them", which is likely to lead to the tyranny of the majority. On the contrary, the rights of the minority encounter threaten, even be discriminated, which is not conducive to the benign operation of the social order, even impacts on all levels of the country seriously. Tyranny of the majority is extremely destructive, it can cause great damages to society and even disintegrate the democratic regime. The author probes this issue from four aspects and discusses in detail regarding to how to prevent the harmful consequences of the "tyranny of the majority". Therefore, applying the Marx’s democratic thought to considering the damages of the "tyranny of the majority", especially, the unconstitutional censorship plays an irreplaceable role to protect the rights of the minority, which has great significance to inhibit the occurrence of the tyranny of the majority, remedy harmful consequences brought by the tyranny of the majority and realize the highest appeal of the Marx’s democratic thought.
