Cult organized crime has been a traditional crime form of organized crime. As the complex world situation and social situation is changing, cult organized crime presents diversification, it involves in wide area and geographical range, large victims-age-span and career-span, and strong destruction on political stability and economic development. So it has become the hot spot issue in the field of criminal law, criminology and psychology, and one of the most difficult challenges for the states government. Owing to "almighty God" cult events in2012, cult organized Crime attracted our attention again in our country. Under the background of building "safe china, law-based china", cult cancer needs promptly eradicated.This article proposes a special angle---psychological perspective on cult organized crime. I make a superficial analysis for crime causes and prevention of cult crimes from the perspective of criminal psychology. This paper will be divided into four parts:Part1is intended to have the macroscopic overview on cult crimes. Firstly, the concept of "cult" and "cult organization" is summarized; secondly, it presents four developing trends in cult organized crimes, mafia-style organized and international tendency is particularly evident; finally, it sums up the three morphological characteristics for cult organized crime, paving for the analysis of causes and prevention of cult crime of Part2/Part3/part4of this article. The next parts-Part Ⅱ and PartⅢ make use of the theories of criminology, criminal psychology, and criminal law to analyze causes of cult organized crime from the perspective of psychology. It is analyzed from two points:Part2aims to "individual defects" imposed on individuals to join cult organization, the "individual defects" come from personality defects in socialization, mental sickness and intellectual inadequacy, psychopathic personality. Part3emphasizes the influence of "the using of individual psychology of cult organization ", including organizational dependence and complementation, mind-set and mind control, invisible stress. Part4mainly makes the recommendations for the prevention of cult organized crime in the perspective of psychology, including criminal prevention, social prevention, and classified prevention, stressing the importance of community models for crime prevention.
