Since the reform and opening up to the outside world, educationaland economic development has made tremendous progress, therelationship between the two connected closely. Influence of education oneconomy and economy on education is very large; the interactivedevelopment between the two has promoted the common development.Most minority areas are located in remote rural areas, but the smoothprogress of the socialist new countryside construction largely depends onthe development of these areas. Education in minority areas which isregarded as the fundamental engineering of the new socialist countrysideconstruction, shouldering the historical mission of rejuvenatingagriculture through science and education, improving the overallpopulation cultural quality in minority areas, cultivating new farmers,narrowing the social gap, and building the harmonious new socialistcountryside in rural areas. In the era of knowledge-driven economy,education promotes the economic development; the progress anddevelopment of society and economy also have positive influence oneducation. With the increasingly prominent strategic position of education in minority areas and the highlight of practical economic developmentissues, we should plan for the future common development of education,economy and society in these areas, to strengthen the interaction betweeneducational and economic development. Therefore, under the perspectiveof constructing new socialist countryside, currently, this is an importanttopic and has profound practical significance to re-examine, recognizeand develop education in minority areas, make it to play its basic role andguiding role, to promote long-term development of economy and societyas well as its own long-term development.The author is from Shanglin County, Guangxi Zhuang AutonomousRegion, owing to the actual need of current education and economicdevelopment plus personal attention to the hometown, taking ShanglinCounty as an example, to research the interaction between educationaland economic development in minority areas. Based on the presentsituation of interactive development of ethnic minority education andeconomy in Shanglin County, the thesis conduct an in-depth analysis on itwith the use of human capital theory and Marx and Engels’s educationeconomic theory and other related economic theory of education, combining the relevant literature.Research works of the thesis are mainly the following parts:The first part, namely the introduction part, mainly introduce thequestion proposed, research goal, the significance, content, structure andideas, research methods, the innovation and insufficiency of the study.The second part is mainly the literature review about the interactivedevelopment of education and economy with a starting point of therelationship between each other. It introduces the interactive developmentcourse of educational economy, defines the concept and connotation ofethnical education and the ethnical economy, and elaborates thetheoretical research and evaluation as well as the latest research progressof educational economy both domestic and overseas.The third part mainly analyzes the current situation and problems ofinteractive development of ethnical education and ethnic economy inShanglin County,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, explore therestraining factors and analyze them one by one.Based on previous work, the fourth part is mainly to sum upexperience, combining the actual situation of Shanglin County to make the countermeasures which is aiming to put forward the interactivedevelopment between ethnical education and economy.Finally, generalize and refine the conclusions and future researchprospects of this study.
