Study On The Effect Of Technology Alienation On Social Moral Orientation In China

As the human practical activity, technology takes an important part in the society at every level and in every field. The development of technology has brought about social wealth, improved people’s living standard, promoted people’s free development on one hand. But the technology is a double-edged sword, brought a series of problems that threaten human prospects: population explosion, resource depletion, food crisis, environmental pollution,etc.Technology alienation can not only affect the natural and social environment of China, but also the people’s moral value orientation. At present, China is at a transformational period intensified by modernization, moral value orientation has been severely affected. In addition, Chinese traditional culture and value system has also been challenged, and the core value system of the whole country has been shocked. In this thesis, the author states the reflection and the theory of technology alienation in China, and analyzes its impacts on Chinese moral value orientation, aiming to suggest a generative mechanism of Chinese moral value orientation under the impacts of technology alienation.There are overall five chapters in this thesis, the first chapter is Introduction, mainly introduces the background, value, current situation and method of the present study; the second chapter is combing and reflective scholars at home and abroad on the technical alienation, focuses on the main theories of technology alienation like Karl Marx’s, Herbert Marcuse’s and Harbermas’s technology alienation theory, and analysis of the research results of technology alienation in China, and also the definition and features of technology alienation. In the third chapter, analysis techniques alienation in the development of our society, after defines technology alienation, the author analyzes the overall performance of technology alienation in China in natural, social or human level. The forth chapter focuses on specific analysis of the influences of technology alienation on moral value orientation, both its negative effects and positive effects. Its positive effects include promoting self-recognition, coordinated social relationship and individual overall development, etc. And its negative effects are mainly in leading to individualization, utilitarianism and one-dimensionality. And in the fifth chapter, demonstration of technological alienation under the formation mechanism of moral value orientation, the author proposes that scientific development perspective, appropriate technical value system, regulated technical evaluation system, sound social system are appealed to help establish moral value generative mechanism under technology alienation with humanist, ecological, normative and subjective principles.
