Research On Digital Alienation From The Perspective Of Marxism

With the change of history and the development of technology,human beings have gradually got rid of some natural regulations by relying on tools and technology,but human beings are bound by invisible tools and technologies.Since the beginning of the 21st century,digital technologies,including big data,artificial intelligence(AI),cloud computing,Internet of Things(IoT),and blockchain,have been used as a technical invention to assist informatization management at the beginning,but nowadays with the advantages of convenience and rapid in the development process,digital technologies have gradually became a digital existence that quantifies the world and changes the survival situation of human beings.The application and development of digital technology improves national governance and promotes individual development.At the same time,there are problems such as the exposure of individual privacy,the oppression of digital labor,and the alienation of digital identities that affect human survival.Some scholars such as Christian Fox,Vincent Mosco,and Jiang Lan defined and analyzed digital alienation from the perspective of Marxism,which provides a new solution to this problem.First,based on Marxist alienation theory,this thesis explains Marx's concept of alienation,the formation of alienation views,and the inheritance and enrichment of alienation in Western Marxism.Secondly,it explains the background of digital alienation and investigates the etymology.At the same time,it summarizes the three meanings of digital alienation:alienation of digital technology,alienation of digital labor,alienation of human self-isolation.Thirdly,it expounds the forms of digital alienation in the contemporary and analyzes the reasons.In the real life of contemporary people,due to the concealment of digital capitalism under the logic of capital and the exploitation of digital labor,there are such phenomena as"data supremacy" and big data empiricism,the exposure of individual privacy,the deepening of communication alienation and the alienation of digital identity,which is reflected in the way people exist,the way they think,and the political economy.Finally,a trial solution is proposed for the concrete manifestation of digital alienation.In addition to adhering to the basic stand of dialectical materialism and reshaping human subjectivity,it is also necessary to adhere to the critique of capital logic,and based on the standpoint of Marx's political economic criticism,trying to eliminate the path of relationships,breaking the data value chain,and resisting general data to become a profit tool for digital capital abandons digital alienation.Therefore,to view digital alienation and to sublate it from the perspective of Marxism is the whole point of this research.
