Currently the Middle East and North Africa are the key suppliers of energy in the world, yet they are also the most complex and competitive strategic core areas. Since2010, these areas have fallen into continually turbulent crises, resulting in the change of political situation which brings about severe impact on world politics and economy. As an emerging economy, China invests in various fields there and depends largely on their energy. It is closely related to their economic interests, accordingly it is of realistic significance to do some research on the change of situation in Middle East and North Africa. There are five chapters in this thesis. Chapter One is an introduction, and Two gives a full view in the change of situation in Middle East and North Africa. Starting with a survey, this chapter deeply analyzes the internal and external factors of the change, pointing out that the fundamental driving forces for the change are social diseases in political, economic, and cultural aspects in those Arabic nations there. In addition, the external interventions by Western nations such as the United States, the challenges brought about by globalization, financial crisis, and the spread of new media intensify the change. These complex factors are still the variables which will continue to affect and restrict social development and transition in the Arabic world. Chapter Three and Four mainly discuss the impact on international politics and world economy in terms of international order, sovereignty, international mechanism, energy, finance, tourism, and so on. Chapter Five discusses the impact on China’s internal and external affairs, analyzing the severe challenge China is faced with in various fields and the important opportunities brought about by the change to enhance international discourse power, further display national image, gain more energy share, participate actively in world politics. The conclusion of this thesis is that only by sticking to socialism peculiar to Chinese characteristics, carrying forward political restructuring, maintaining the stability of national politics, strengthening comprehensive national power, improving network security management, increasing investment in information technology, and preventing hostile forces in emerging fields, can China achieve its great rejuvenation.
