Through the 28th Olympic Games and the 16th World Championship, we can always find an obvious Anticlimax existing in the games between Chinese team and its rival teams. Chinese team plays well in the first period and has the advantage over their opponents, while making more mistakes and less shot from the start of the second period. The guards, who act as the prime mover in a team, begin to make more errors, and the offensive efficiency began to decline, making their offense in disorder because of the disorganization. This phenomenon is more obvious in the fourth period, and lead to the failure with a poor score. Therefore, it is significant for us to study the performance of the guards in offense, (especially at the critical moment), and put them in the right time to choose the method of offense and the means to score, thus improve the efficiency of personal offense and the team’s overall success. This paper analyzes the datum of the guards’offense in different sessions (periodⅠ,Ⅱ,Ⅲ,Ⅳ) in the two games, and compares the features of offense of Chinese guards and foreign guards, then draws the following conclusions:1 The scoring areas are mainly concentrated in the first and third zone, while little in the second zone. Chinese guards score more in the first zone of the first period, while less in other periods2 Shooting directly, jump shot after a sudden stop in dribbling and laying up after a fast break are the common methods that all the teams adopt, while foreign guards varies more in it.3 Chinese guards mainly make a break holding ball, especially with a crossover, while foreign guards mainly adopt penetrations.4 Guards of both teams are well-matched in assists, while foreign guard assist more in the fourth period and assist more snugly. 5 The turnovers made by Chinese guards, especially the turnovers in dribbling, appear in the third zone, while the turnovers made by foreign guards mainly appear in the first zone.6 Chinese guards have improved a lot in the sense and ability for rebounds in the front court, which differs little from their foreign opponents.7 The main forms of cooperation are pick cooperation and cooperation in drive and pass.8 Chinese guards have more pick cooperation with the center, while foreign guards cooperate more with forwards.9 Foreign guards have a clear purpose when they drive and pass with a various methods and wide horizons, while Chinese guards always simply drive and pass ball fiercely.10 There is a great difference between Chinese guards and guards abroad in the ability of fast break. Chinese guards are used to making a fast break in the first zone, while guards abroad start a fast break in the third zone.
