The College Students’ Modern Personality Cultivation In The Construction Of Harmonious Society

Modern personality is one of the requirements in the development of harmonious societythat a college student should have. It is not only the concentrated expression of the spirit ofthe times, personality and the development of moral level, but also the unity of collegestudents’self-potential and self-transcendence in practice. So, cultivating the college students’modern personality with the spirit of the times is the key to decide whether if the societyadvanced. This paper is from our needs of the construction of harmonious society, in thestudy on the basis of traditional ideal personality theory and the western personality theory.According to the all-round development theory of Marx, it puts forward to shape hardly andtrains the college students’ modeler sodality to adapt the construction of socialist harmonioussociety. However, the cultivation of college students’ modern personality contribute to theconstruction of harmonious society in the process of rapid development of economy, help topromote the social development of democracy and rule of law, conduce to theformation of stable and orderly social situation, contribute to create a healthy, civilized andharmonious progress of the social and cultural atmosphere, and it realize the harmonybetween man and nature finally.In this paper, it combs the present research of the harmonious society and the modernpersonality, then it summarizes the six characteristics of college students’ modern personalityincluded autonomy, competition, openness, efficiency, law and compatibility in theconstruction of harmonious society. Next, it also combs the construction ofrelationships between harmonious society and modern personality.Through the questionnaire survey, it concludes the present research of college students’personality and analyzes the main factors include social factors, school education factors andfamily factors that impact on college students’personality. Consequently, it puts forward tothe goals and principles to cultivate the modern personality in construction of harmonioussociety. In view of the status of College Students’ modern personality and the goals andprinciples cultivation of College Students’ modern personality.
