With the rapid development of internet technology, and the increasing freedomand openness of communication forms, the internet has been involved in all aspects ofour daily life. At present, students make up the largest netizens group in China. Theinternet not only serves as an important channel for young college students to gainknowledge and information but also affects their view of life, world view and values inunconscious ways. The abundance and diversity of internet information as well as thepopularity of mobile internet access equipments with mobile phones as theirrepresentative, which intensified free communication of information which is notsocialist core values. Therefore, it calls for higher internet using and informationdiscernibility capacities of young college students. However, existing education couldn’tsuit the new requirement. The internet accomplishment and training methods of collegestudents have become pressing questions.The thesis selects undergraduates of six colleges in Chongqing as research objects.In this thesis, comply opinions of experts and scholars at home and abroad, re-elaboratethe concept of internet accomplishment, and devise relevant evaluation standards aswell as make questionnaire survey among undergraduates to explore the internetaccomplishment of undergraduates in the region so as to put forward correspondingtraining strategies based on the existing problems.In the thesis, the concept of internet accomplishment stresses in the comprehensivequality and ability to adapt to the development of internet technology and to takeadvantages of the internet. The evaluation standard include internet media contacts,internet cognition and utilization level, internet information production and transmissioncapacity, discernment of internet information and safety awareness, critique capacity ofinternet public opinion. Internet accomplishment deficiencies of college students inChongqing are as follows: weakening internet’s function as study tool, low internetmoral self-discipline degree, lack of cognition and critique of internet’s deep impacts.The lack of internet accomplishment education is the primary cause that results ininsufficiences of undergraduates’ internet accomplishment. Take into consideration ofexisting problems of undergraduates’ internet accomplishment, the thesis proposes fromperspectives of reality and feasibility that the government, colleges and undergraduatesshould make joint efforts to establish the internet training mechanism from the aspects of setting up the concept of training, promote education practice and emphasizeenvironment edification, so that it could be helpful to theoretical study and practice ofinternet accomplishment.
