With the popularity of the Internet and in-depth information of higher education, forcollege students, the Internet has increasingly become a new access to knowledge andinformation, an important approach to their learning, living, entertainment, knowing societyand participating in society, which has been an important environment of students’ growth,which is playing an increasingly important role in the process of students’ change from the"natural" to the"social"."Internet" has become an indispensable tool for students’ modern life.Because college students’ right or wrong ability, self-control ability and information-discriminating ability are relatively weak, if they are lack of necessary guidance and training,it will be difficult for them to resist the temptation of bad information from the Internet. Howto help students better to avoid the negative impact of the network and to use its positiveimpact has become the reality of ideological and political education issue in the Internet age.However, in view of the current higher education and the problems caused by the Internet, thelack of literacy training is the fundamental problem.In recent years, students’ network literacy training is becoming the research focus insuch disciplines as communication, education, psychology, sociology, educational technology,and so on. As to the future requirements for the talent, as an important component of medialiteracy in the age of information, the in-depth research on network literacy is imperative.College education, as a main position, is lack of cultivating and guiding college students’Internet behavior, so college students’ network literacy couldn’t keep up with the pace of therapid development of the network. Therefore, this paper " A Research on Collegestudents’network literacy and its Training " can futher improve and enrich students’ networkliteracy education system, and has important theoretical significance. At the same time, topromote their own network literacy in the process of socialization, enhancing the study ofstudents’ network contact and exploring and training students’ network literacy in the processof teaching practice will have an important practical significance in further strengtheningcollege students’ ideological and political education work and improving the actual educationeffect.This paper is divided into four parts: the first part is the introduction, which deals with the background, significance, research status, research ideas, methods and innovation,difficulties and shortcomings. The second part explains the literacy of college students and itsimportance. Drawing on the concept of literacy of domestic and international network, thispart mainly defines literacy content, composition and the importance of training. The author,basing on the different angles of view from the scholars, with his own thinking, summarizesthe content of Internet literacy, that is, network literacy is that college students continue toadapt to the development of network media in the information society, use the Internet topromote self-development and create value ability and awareness, is an ability system whichcan be continuousely expanded, improved and updated, which is an organic combination ofinformation technology, ideology, culture heritage and mental ability. This study, based onthe integration of existing research, suggests that network literacy consists of five aspects:cognitive network, network operation capabilities, network information acquisition andprocessing capabilities, self-management and network behavior binding capacity, networksecurity awareness, these five contents are interrelated and interdependent. This is oneinnovation of this study, which proposes that network literacy training has the learningfunction of adapting to the information society, innovative lifestyle features, ways of thinking,values change function, enlightenment awareness of civil rights, health, culture and habits ofmind function.College Students’ Internet literacy training is very important in strengtheningthe ideological and political education, optimizing the university network environment andimproving students’growth and success. In the third part, according to the five aspects ofnetwork literacy, the author designs a literacy questionnaire for college students ofZhangjiakou’s five universities, investigating and analysing their current status, sums up thepositive aspects and the exsiting problems, and analyses comprehensively the causes ofproblems. The fourth part, on the basis of investigation and research, combined with China’sactual situation and previous studies, based on the literacy status of Zhangjiakou City, fromthe social training, school training, self-training and other aspects, promots some relatedstrategies about students network literacy training.This study adopts methods of literature study, questionnaire survey, comparative study oflaw and integration of multidisciplinary research to study the university network exposureand explore the issue through education practice, thus students will be qualified with good network literacy in the socialization process. The following conclusions are drawn bystudying: with the rapid development of the network today, students network literacy trainingshould be attached great importance to the whole society, a healthy educational environmentshould be created. At present, the main task is to actively promote the nurturing environmentof the university. The training puts more emphasis on ways of network thinking, criticalresponse to network information, network values, network norms, and the self-developmentability. This not only helps to improve the overall quality of students, but also relates toChina’s democratization, modernization and building of a harmonious socialist. Thefundamental objective is to continuously improve the comprehensive quality of collegestudents, so that students can, in the multi-network era, before the network, change from thepassive to the active, rationally use the network to make self-improvement, activelyparticipate in social progress and development.
