In the teaching of ideological and political theory course, there are many elements which may affect the teaching effectiveness, and one of important factors is the college students’inverse psychology. It will not only reduce their curriculum degree of acceptance and recognition, but also directly affect the positive effects of specific teaching.Currently, academic circle have done a lot of theoretical discussion for inverse psychology, but still lack the empirical research of students’reverse psychology. In this paper, I try to study and specific the post nineties’generation of students who deal with ideological and moral training courses. In addition, I investigate and analysis its antagonistic psychological situations and factors. Moreover, I will try to reflect the true course of implementation as well as students’attitude and needs, and hope to provide some help and reference for the reform of ideological and political theory courses.Through the relevant literature and research, I find that students’inverse psychology to the course can be divided into three variables cognitive, emotional and behavioral . The factors that influence the students’are mainly in the following: (1) teaching materials; (2) teachers;(3) course effectiveness; (4) students for the course of (5) classroom atmosphere.800 freshmen are interviewed in Huazhong University of Science and Technology by questionnaire. After the statistics and analysis, I find that: (1) students on the“ideological and moral cultivation and legal basis”course of a moderate degree of reverse psychology; (2)“Teacher”is the most significant and associated factor; (3)“Teaching materials”have more significant correlation with the antagonistic psychology; (4) Classroom teaching is the weak link in the course; (5) Emotional factors play a very important role in the course of teaching. According to the results, I present the following educational recommendations: (1) We should take students’individual psychology as the starting point, and students would grasp the cognitive psychology to enhance their self-regulatory capacities; (2) We could extensive our teaching content to enhance its relevance and hierarchy; (3) We need to reform the methods and approaches, pay attention to the beginnings of teaching, and use the Socrates method case study method to organize the classroom teaching; (4) Teachers would enhance the theoretical knowledge and professional qualities and strengthen the emotional investment and so on.
