In 2008, Colleges welcomed the first batch of students born in 1990. Influenced by the media culture, Using concept of the post-80scollege,and the post-90scollege students emerge as the times demand.College students,the builders and successors of the party and the state, are valuable human resources and an important force in building a harmonious society. In the future,the post-90s college students will also replace the post-80s college students and become the subject of a commitment to build a harmonious socialist society,practice the scientific outlook on development and enhance the comprehensive national strength. Strengthening and improving the ideological and political education,is the consistent tradition of our party. In the construction and development of a harmonious socialist society with Chinese characteristics, is necessary to promote ideological and political education levels and the overall quality of the harmonious development of students.As a trans-century generation,the post-90s college students, because of the complicated economic globalization, cultural globalization, information and the rapid development of science and technology, their thinking, behavior, and values are deeply branded with the times. Their ideological and moral conditions bear on the destiny of the motherland and the nation. Therefore, it is the key point to know about the ideological characteristics and unfold ideological and political education for college students, no matter the main characteristics in terms of changes of students themselves, or the ideological and political education of the objective needs.In the first part,this paper describes the research background, significance and method and lead in the concept of the post-90s college students; in the second part, it is to determine the basis concept of the post-90s college students according to the research literature, psychology, sociology theory; the third one focuses on studying the growth environment of the post-90s college students compared with the post-80s college students; the fourth part is to analyze the characteristics of the post-90s college students; the fifth part is intended to strengthen and improve the approach and advice for ideological political education of the post-90s from educational philosophy, educational system and approach, emphasize the basis of people-oriented, the concept of equal education and the key to the fundamental mechanism for the establishment of education-oriented, and make a number of innovative vision of educational methods for reference, hoping it useful to the ideological and political education for college students.
