In the1920s and1930s, it was possible for the women to take part in the war. No matter thewomen belonged to the low class or the upper class and no matter they were illiterate or literate.By means of participating in the war, the women got freedom from the family, entered into thesociety and liberated themselves. And the women campaigns in China showed a unique scenery inthe worldwide.From1927to1934, led by the Chinese Communist Party, groups of women threw themselvesin the revolution actively. They shook off the yoke of the feudalism1, got freedom from the familyand took part in managing the society. Thus their roles in the society changed and no right ofspeech was over. Because they really played a key role in the process. At the very beginning, the thesis introduced the living condition, the structure, the behaviorand culture characteristic of the women group. Next, why the women group took part in therevolution was discussed. After that thesis illustrated what role the women group played in theSoviet revolution. The importance of their role showed mainly in what they had done in thatperiod. In fact they had done much: establishing the women organization and protecting thewomen rights; training the women leader and strengthening self-construction; arranging thewomen how to work and possessing the material; mobilizing other women to take part in the warand liberating not only oneself but the whole women class; arranging the women to study andimproving their literal level; organizing the cultural activities and making the life in the Sovietrich; calling for the freedom of marriage and making changes in customs and traditions to get theman and the woman equal. Furthermore, the thesis gave an objective and fair evaluation of theirrole in the Soviet revolution. So the limitation of their role was found. All in all, the thought that man and woman are made equal spread widely owing to thewomen taking part in the Soviet revolution. The women’s awareness of participating in the politicswas aroused and the legal rights of women were protected, which helped enrich and developMarxism on the women. All these provided the valuable experience for the New China to liberatethe women during the Yanan Period and the War of Liberation.
