Nation identity is ahigher class ideology, only the nationality elites have the systematic one, the crowd onlyhave the scattered country-imaging yet. This is the theme of this research. It is aexplosion of developing the theories about nation identity that bringing forward theconcept of country-imaging, It discusses the elementary phase of nation identity, tries toexhibit the pieces of the images that nationality crowd got, It changes the research intonation identity which catches the social consciousness into describing the concretepicture in people’s mind.The writer integrated his idea and the production of the researches into nationidentity, and made some questions, for example,"the country is?","the relationshipbetween individuals and the government","which is the one you most careabout?","when will you remind the country?","What are the citizens’ rights andobligations?"etc, basing on the result of questionnaire I did some interviewing, theresult was that the crowd’s strongest feeling of country was the force, They do not onlyregard the government officers as the delegate of country, also the doctors and teacherswho work in the public organization. When they interact with the state, what the countrycan give them is the thing they most care about, and this is the most direct thought aboutthe relationship between themselves and the state. Then, I got a result that the localMiao crowd’s country-imaging is immethodical and scrap-like， they getcountry-imaging by accident, and it is hard that the country-imaging develops furtherand wilder. This kind of imagination depends on their experience and education. Theother character is that they do not care about politics and country, they do not care abouttheir state ideology. It because of their economy. In this way, the actuality of Miaocrowd’s country-imaging has been described. And the gap between the actuality and theidentity be expected has appeared, so, in the following part it is the keystone that thesuggestions basing on the cause of the actuality have been given. Since the nationidentity can be divided into two level which are culture identity and politic identity, the reconstruction of Miao crowd’s country-imaging should be done in the same way,to strengthen the collective symbol and memories in culture level for Nationalintegration, to use the power of civilize from education and intermedium.
