As an important educational practice pattern in higher normal schools, the replacementeducational practice not only fosters the graduate interns’ educational capability, but also plays animportant role in providing the teaching support as well as improving the educational quality inrural areas. With the joint efforts among the relevant government departments, higher normalschools and practice schools in rural areas, the replacement educational practice has madeachievement in bringing new educational theories and energy to the primary and middles schoolsin rural areas. Meanwhile, the higher normal schools provide the educational training to thegraduate interns of the replacement educational practice, which enhances the general quality of theteaching quality in rural areas. However, there exist some defects and problems with thereplacement educational practice, for example1) communication barriers between the highernormal schools and the practice schools lead to the mismatch of the teaching majors;2) theduration of the replacement educational practice lasts six months in the senior year, when thegraduate interns also have to prepare for the thesis and job hunting;3) the higher normal schoolsand the practice schools guide the graduate interns in an ineffective way;4) the graduate internshave to adapt to the practice schools in a relatively long time. With so many problems during thereplacement educational practice, the higher normal schools should take the responsibilities inproving learning support services to the graduate interns. The graduate interns of the replacementeducational practice have dual roles both as an intern student and a teacher. How to ensure thelearning rights as graduate interns while also emphasizing their roles as “teachers”? How toprovide the normal school students the effective support and guidance during the replacementeducational practice? After the study of the learning support services for the replacementeducational practice, this thesis develops a learning support service system by taking intoconsideration the status quo of the replacement educational practice in higher normal schools inorder to improve the pattern of the replacement educational practice in higher normal schools.This thesis consists of the following five parts:Part one is the introduction to the background, problem, object and significance of the studyas well as the study method and defining the terms in this thesis.Part two is the study of the educational practice and learning support service both at home andabroad, especially the current educational intern pattern and learning support services. This thesis explores the educational practice patterns in USA, UK, Canada, Japan and China and analyzes thelearning support services in UK Open University and China Radio and TV University.Part Three is the design of the learning support service system aiming to improve thereplacement educational practice for normal school students. With the analysis of the systemelements, the thesis tries to design the learning support system for higher normal schools andillustrate the functions of each module as well as introduce the environment and main techniquesfor system development.Part four is the realization of the learning support system for the replacement educationalpractice in higher normal schools. The system consists of four modules, i.e. option, learning,exchange and evaluation. Each module also includes several small functional modules. Each rolehas different operational and managerial accesses to realize the functions. The system administratoris entitled with the highest administrative authority of managing all the data in the system. Theteachers have the mediate administrative authority of managing relevant data in the system whilethe graduate interns the least administrative authority of managing personal date in the system.Part five is the summary of the thesis, covering the conclusion, the innovation, the deficiencyand the prospect of the research in the thesis.
